Rev. Joseph A. D'Aurora
Pastor
Fr. Joe was born in Steubenville, OH and raised in Follansbee, WV in a happy, Italian-American family. He earned a bachelors degree in philosophy from St. Francis University in Loretto, PA, a masters degree in education from West Virginia University and a masters of divinity degree from St. Mary's Seminary University in Baltimore, MD. On May 12, 1973 he was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston and later transferred and was incardinated inthe Diocese of Richmond.
Fr. Joe is a Lieutenant Commander in the Chaplain Corps of the U.S. Navy Reserve and has served in Okinawa, Japan, Camp Pendleton, CA, and San Diego, CA. His past assignments in the diocese have included St. Nicholas Parish, Virginia Beach, Christ the King, Norfolk, Chaplain and Guidance Counselor at Norfolk Catholic High School and pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Norton, VA. Most recently he was the Catholic Chaplain at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA. In 1989 he earned a certificate in liturgy from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN. He approaches the pastorate of St. Patrick Parish with a fervent desire to serve God's people in priestly ministry.

Luci K. Majikas
Director of Music and Liturgy
Luci K. Majikas, M.M., S.F.O. was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mary and Charles Majikas, and spend the first half of her life in the Keystone state. She has one living brother in Florida, and one deceased brother. The second half of her life (now 22 years) has been spent in Virginia- her "second home." Luci received a Master of Music degree from Ithaca University and a Master of Science degree from Bloomsburg University. She has taken course work at Westminster Choir College and Georgetown University in their program entitled: Liturgy, Spirituality and the Arts. She is also a Secular Franciscan: a professed member of the Third Order of St. Francis who are both married and single women/men, who take vows, but live in the world while promoting Gospel living in the footsteps of Francis and Clare.
In Virginia, Ms. Majikas has served as Director of Liturgy/Music at Catholic churches in Manassas and Richmond, including All Saints, the largest Catholic parish community in Northern Virginia. She has been the Director of Liturgy/Music Ministries at St. Patrick since 2001. In her dreams she is a polished ball room dancer! She enjoys traveling, reading, learning something new every day, and cooking. One of her cherished companions in life is her dog "Mr. Bubba.", a gentle-hearted cocker poodle.

Colleen Arnold
Director of Christian Formation
Dr. Colleen Arnold joined the staff in August 2007 as Director of Christian Formation. Prior to that she was a catechist at St. Patrick for ten years, serving for the last eight as co-catechist for our second grade, including the preparation for the First Sacraments of Reconcilliation and Eucharist. Although her interest in faith formation started out as a desire to volunteer for the Religious Education program while her children were young, it has grown into a much deeper commitment to ministry. She completed the PATHWAYS diocesan program for catechist formation at both the parish and senior levels and she has her master's degree in pastoral ministry from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.
Colleen attended Wilkes College, received her M.D. from Hahnemann School of Medicine, and is an emergency physician at Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital. She is the chairman of the hospital's medical ethics committee and serves on the Board of Directors for Rockbridge Area Hospice. She has a strong interest in the areas of medical ethics, adult spirituality, and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. She and her husband, Neil, live in Lexington with their three daughters: Gina Miraglia, Jackie and Jordan.

Wm. "Burr" Datz
Campus Minister
Burr Datz was appointed to the position of Catholic Campus Minister at St. Patrick effective January 1, 2010.
Originally from Long Island, he's lived in Rockbridge County since 1977. After graduating from Washington and Lee University in 1975, he served two years as an elementary school teacher on Long Island, returned to Lexington and served as an assistant food services manager for two years and as assistant director of security for nine years at W&L.
In 1988, he became the campus minister to the Lexington area campuses, serving in that capacity until 2001. He became the director of leadership development at W&L in that year, and then expanded in 2005 to include the responsibilities as the coordinator of religious life. Burr provided the keynote address to the Regional Phi Theta Kappa Conference in 2006 and the diocesan ECCL conference in 2009. A member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society, he served as faculty secretary to W&L's Alpha Circle for nine years.
Burr is a a licensed and certified challenge course instructor. He enjoys music, performing often in three bands on guitars, mandolin and/or electric bass. He and his wife Lisa have been married for over 30 years, live a few miles outside of Lexington, and enjoy the company of their boxer, Kally, and theirtwo grown daughters.

Doris Phillips
Office Manager
St. Patrick's Parish Office Manager is Doris Kimble Phillips of Rockbridge County. She joined the staff in January 2003, and loves interaction with people, especially those she encounters in her job.
Doris is widowed and has a stepdaughter and two sons. While her spare time is limited, she is an artist whose media include oils, acrylics, graphite and watercolors. Weekends and leisure time will find her out ballroom dancing, enjoying the company of good friends, or having quiet time at home to read and/or write, cook, or enjoy her pets.
